As if I needed another reason to love earl grey more! Now it’s in the form of my favorite comfort food ever. Life is good, no? David Lebovitz’s (a.k.a. new hero) vanilla ice cream is a perfect base for this. Try it!

Melon juice was a summer fixture for me when I was younger. Our old cook would always make it for us kids whenever we have melons at home. We rarely eat the fruit as it is.

She used this metal shaver thing. I don’t know what it’s officially called, but it works like a charm.

A few effortless shaves and I’m halfway through.

And before I knew it, I’m done. Dump all of that melon goodness in a pitcher, add water and just enough sugar (if you’re lucky, you wouldn’t have to add sugar at all). Serve with ice. Beat the heat.
